ФРС США в этом году завершит процесс сокращения баланса

Глава ФРС Джером Пауэлл сообщил, что регулятор завершит процесс сокращения $4-триллионного баланса позднее в 2019 году, который идет вразрез с текущей паузой в повышении ставок.

Пауэлл рассказал, что в результате сокращения баланс ФРС будет составлять около 16-17% ВВП США, что примерно на 6% больше, чем до финансового кризиса.

На текущий момент ВВП США составляет порядка $20 трлн, это означает, что объем баланса ФРС составит от $3,2 трлн до $3,4 трлн.

Глава ФРС также заявил, что регулятор намерен сделать свой подход к денежно-кредитной политике в текущем году более «тонким», чтобы достичь целевого 2% уровня инфляции.
