Рост розничных продаж в Великобритании сильно замедлился

Согласно свежей статистике, объем розничных продаж в Великобритании упал самыми быстрыми с июля 2016 года темпами. В годовом исчислении показатель роста продаж продемонстрировал самую медленную скорость, поскольку подъем цен на товары розничных магазинов продолжается. Что, в свою очередь, оказывает ценовое давление на конечного потребителя. 

Ежемесячный баланс розничных продаж CBI упал с +22 в июле до -10 в августе. Это значение является самым низким за последний год. Впервые показатель критически снизился после голосования граждан Великобритании за выход из состава Евросоюза. Решение по Brexit спровоцировало резкое ослабление британской национальной валюты, что привело к росту инфляции и снижению доходов потребителей. 

Фактический спад показателя индекса розничных продаж оказался хуже даже самых пессимистичных прогнозов аналитиков, ожидавших лишь незначительного снижения роста.
