По состоянию на 17.00 мск, 15 августа, цена золота упала на 1,04%, до отметки 1.188,20, достигнув минимальных значений с января 2017 года.
   
В то же время индекс доллара вырос на 0,25%, до 96,79, установив рекорд стоимости с июня 2017 года.

Финансовые аналитики полагают, что срабатывание стоп-лоссов возле ключевого уровня $1200 вызвало дальнейшее падение цены драгоценных металлов и создало благоприятную возможность для размещения новых среднесрочных и долгосрочных ордеров на покупку. 

Однако мировой рынок золота по-прежнему находится под сильным давлением из-за укрепления американского доллара и перспективы дальнейшего увеличения ставок ФРС США.

Технические индикаторы также указывают на тенденцию падения стоимости золота.  

При том, что инвесторы традиционно используют золото, чтобы минимизировать риски и уберечь активы в периоды политической и экономической неопределенности, цена золота продолжает падать на фоне валютного кризиса в Турции.
