В США впервые выпустят золотую монету с афроамериканкой

Монетный двор США впервые выпустит монету с изображением афроамериканской женщины, олицетворяющей Свободу. Монета достоинством в 100 долларов будет отчеканена из золота и иметь вес примерно 30 грамм. Новые монеты будут выпущены в честь 225-летия Монетного двора и предназначаться будут преимущественно для коллекционеров. В продажу новые «сотки» поступят 6 апреля. 

Символ женщины, олицетворяющей свободу, очень часто используется в американской истории. Известная во всем мире Статуя Свободы, подаренная Францией Соединенным Штатам в 1886 году, возвышается над Нью-Йорком и является одной из самых популярных достопримечательностей мира.

Помимо профиля чернокожей девушки на монете будут присутствовать надпись «In God We Trust» и две даты, 1792 и 2017. Первый год – год основания Монетного двора США, второй – дата выпуска новых монет. В будущем правительство США планирует выпуск монет с изображениями других женщин не европеоидной расы – азиатки, латиноамериканки и коренной жительницы Америки, чтобы отразить культурное и этническое разнообразие многонациональной страны.
