Цены на сырую нефть на мировом рынке остаются сильно-волатильными на фоне продолжающегося глобального экономического кризиса.

Страны ОПЕК+ сумели договориться о сокращении добычи на 9,7 млн баррелей в сутки. Однако снижение спроса, вызванное пандемией коронавируса, показало, что этих сокращений будет недостаточно для стабилизации рынка.

Даже после того, как ведущие страны-экспортеры объявили о совместном решении сократить поставки энергоресурсов, цены на нефть существенно не выросли. Они остаются примерно на 50% ниже, чем до начала пандемии. Фактически, вместо стабилизации нефтяных котировок, сделка привела к снижению на 10% в последующие дни.

Согласно собственному отчету ОПЕК, спрос на нефть приближается к самому низкому уровню за последние 30 лет, тогда как цена на неё находится возле 20-летних минимумов.
