• Progressive taxation in Russia will reduce inequality, but will hit GDP. The effect on gross product will reach a decrease of 0.3-1.3% in the long term, according to researchers from RANEPA.

• Talks about recognizing mining as an economic activity in Russia continue. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development. The authorities want to allocate a place for miners in the OKVED classifier. The Ministry of Finance also joined the discussion.

• Swiss banks have started closing accounts with Russians with dual citizenship. Some UBS and Credit Suisse clients with dual citizenship have already encountered this problem.
