According to the latest reading on the strength of the UK consumer, it shows an optimistic stance. As shown in the most recent retail sales data issued by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the sales increased by 0.6 percent in June, exceeding expectations of 0.4 percent while there is a 1.1 percent decline in May. Increased in the area of spending, except in fuel products, were recorded with the largest expansion in sales particularly in household goods stores.
