Auto shipments from China exceeded 2.5 million units in 2022, making the country the third largest car supplier, according to data from the China Passenger Vehicle Association. Analysts note that car deliveries from China abroad have tripled since 2020. At the same time, the indicators of China are only 60 thousand units less than those of Germany, whose exports have fallen significantly in recent years. Thus, Japan occupies the first place in car deliveries, Germany is the second, and China has reached the third position. The fourth place in the list went to South Korea, the fifth to the United States. Today, Chinese brands occupy leading positions in the Middle East and Latin America. In Europe, Tesla electric cars assembled in China are more often sold, as well as cars of European brands owned by companies from China, for example, Volvo. Home brands such as BYD and Nio are also showing an increase in performance. The chief engineer of the Chinese Automobile Association, Xu Haidong, said that China will aim to reach 8 million sales by 2030. And this is twice the current level of Japan's supplies. Analysts note that such a policy suggests that China has successfully moved away from the status of a «manufacturer of cheap electronic devices and household appliances.»
