British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed bin Zayed held a meeting to discuss strengthening cooperation in the field of energy security, green technologies and trade. In addition to these topics, the representatives of the countries also touched upon issues of cooperation in the field of defense and the work of special services against the backdrop of growing global threats. At the moment, Saudi Arabia is the third largest supplier of diesel fuel to the UK. It is worth noting that in recent days, Britain has faced a record increase in the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel against the backdrop of a jump in world oil prices after the introduction of extensive anti-Russian sanctions. Boris Johnson also intends to visit Saudi Arabia to discuss measures to improve energy security and reduce energy and food price volatility, which in turn affects businesses and consumers in the UK.
