Bitcoin has gained 3% in the last 24 hours and exceeded the $38,000 mark. Thanks to this, the BTC price increased its weekly growth to almost 4.6%. The new annual maximum is $38,362.9. The last time bitcoin exceeded the $38,280 mark was in May 2022. Over the year, the cryptocurrency exchange rate has grown by almost 133% (in November 2022, the cryptocurrency was trading at $16.400). However, the historical maximum recorded on November 10, 2021 ($69 thousand) is still far away. Analysts note that the main reason for the current growth was a pause in the interest rate increase in the United States, as well as a possible rate ceiling in 2024. In addition, a new scenario has opened for the cryptocurrency market with the participation of BlackRock, which has committed to create a bitcoin ETF. When the ETF is approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), many investors will begin to assume that the main cryptocurrency will soar to new highs. Halving, scheduled for April 2024, brings additional optimism. The Solana token is also among the growth leaders: the growth was 8.3% per day. Then comes Dogecoin – 4.5%, Cardano – 3.5%, TRON – 2.6%.
