The Securities and Exchange Commission has allowed a quadruple leverage in exchange traded funds (ETF) which is a first time for these kinds of assets in the United States. This is a solution of regulators considering that the sponsors are having a hard time to manage high leverage products in the market. Most of the ETFs are set three times leverage in the United States while in Europes, there are more sensitive products that are restricted. On Tuesday, the U.S Senate held a suffrage with the result indicating Jay Clayton won as the chief of the SEC and this change in management could shift the direction. They are optimistic that this new administration could open the rest of leveraged products issuers for this year as mentioned by a top ETF official of New York Stock Exchange.
