The US Department of Energy raised its forecast for oil production in the country for 2021 and lowered it for 2022. In particular, this year the forecast for the average oil production in the country was increased by 20 thousand barrels per day, up to 11.12 million barrels. The forecast for next year was reduced by 80 thousand, to 11.77 million barrels per day. In July, the Ministry's Energy Information Administration (EIA) raised its oil production forecast for the current year to 11.1 million barrels per day, and for 2022 – to 11.85 million barrels per day. Oil production in the United States last year averaged 11.28 million barrels per day. The EIA also slightly revised its forecast for the average price of North Sea Brent oil for the current year – to $ 68.71 per barrel from the previous $ 68.7. The ministry also lowered its forecast for the average price of Brent for next year – to $ 66.04 per barrel from $ 66.64. At the same time, the EIA forecast for the average price of WTI crude oil for 2021 was raised to $ 65.93 per barrel against the July estimate of $ 65.85, and for 2022 it was lowered to $ 62.37 per barrel from $ 62.97 per barrel.
