Южная Корея увеличила выплаты перебежчикам из КНДР

Власти Южной Кореи приняли решение увеличить в четыре раза сумму вознаграждения, получаемого всеми гражданами КНДР, бежавшими из страны. Ранее сумма выплаты составляла чуть меньше 250 млн вон (около $215 тыс). Теперь перебежчики могут рассчитывать на выплаты размером до 1 млрд вон (около $840 тыс). Данное вознаграждение полагается гражданам Северной Кореи, которые могут предоставить ценные сведения о политическом режиме Ким Чен Ына. 

Увеличение размера подобной выплаты было принято в целях повышения безопасности Южной Кореи. Более того, поскольку многие северокорейцы опасаются покидать границы КНДР из-за финансовой неизвестности, власти Южной Кореи намерены решить эту проблему путем увеличения размера вознаграждения. Помимо предоставления секретной информации также вознаграждается пересечение гражданами КНДР границы с оружием и военной техникой. За покидание страны на военном самолете или корабле перебежчик может рассчитывать на получение максимальной выплаты, за пересечение границы на танке или бронемашине – только $260 тысяч. 

В прошлый раз суммы выплат для беженцев были установлены в 1997 году. Всего, по подсчетам властей Южной Кореи, из Корейской Народно-Демократической Республики бежали более 30 тысяч человек.
