Международное агентство Fitch Ratings Inc. понизило долгосрочные рейтинги дефолта эмитента Катара с «AA» до «AA-», прогноз негативный. Агентство уточнило, что понижение рейтинга связано с возросшим геополитическим напряжением в регионе.


Саудовская Аравия, Египет и ряд других государств Персидского залива обвинили Катар в поддержке терроризма и ввели продовольственное эмбарго. Fitch Ratings прогнозирует существенные негативные последствия бойкота Катара. Кроме того, страна имеет проблемы с дефицитом бюджета и торговым балансом.


Однако если цены на углеводороды на международном рынке вырастут, сократятся государственные расходы, выровняется торговый баланс или улучшатся отношения с соседями, Fitch Ratings не исключает возможности повышения рейтинга страны.
