Рыночная капитализация крупнейшей в мире социальной сети Facebook сократилась на $95,5 млрд из-за скандала с утечкой данных и теперь составляет $442,4 млрд.

Ранее, 16 марта, стоимость 1 акции Facebook Inc. составляла $185,09, а по итогам торгов 27 марта – $152,22 млрд, потеряв за 10 дней 21,6% стоимости.

В марте 2018 года американские СМИ сообщили, что сотрудничавшая с Дональдом Трампом в ходе предвыборной кампании фирма Cambridge Analitica незаконно получила данные 50 млн пользователей социальной сети Facebook, которые использовали для демонстрации им определённой политической рекламы.

Генеральный прокурор американского штата Массачусетс Мара Хелей инициировала расследования в отношении Facebook и Cambridge Analytica.

Основатель и глава Facebook Марк Цукерберг принес извинения пользователям за ситуацию с Cambridge Analytica, отметив, что не должен был доверять этой компании. Цукерберг будет присутствовать на слушаниях в Конгрессе США для дачи показаний в связи со скандалом.
