Chinese Internet company Tencent Holdings plans to introduce a new chatbot developed on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI). This chatbot was presented as part of the announcement on the company's social networks. The developers presented examples of user interaction with this chatbot and showed its ability to help in writing texts for advertising materials. Since last month, Chinese authorities have started issuing permits for the mass launch of chatbots using AI. Several major technology companies in China, including Baidu Inc., SenseTime Group and Zhipu AI, opened access to their own chatbots last week. Tencent has been developing its own AI model, known as Hunyuan, for some time. In August, the company announced plans to expand internal testing of this development. After this announcement, shares of Tencent Holdings fell by 0.4%. Since the beginning of this year, their value has increased by 3.3%, while the Hang Seng index has decreased by 6.7% over the same period.
