State-owned enterprises in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone (FTZ) have purchased a batch of Tesla Model Y electric vehicles for official use. This is the first time in China that Tesla electric vehicles have been included in the list of government purchases. A Tesla factory for the production of Megapack batteries is being built in Shanghai.
