Австралийский коксующийся уголь подорожал на 15% из-за ограничения поставок

Австралийский коксующийся уголь резко подорожал на 15%, достигнув максимальной стоимости с января. Такой скачок цены произошел в результате разрушительного циклона «Дебби», обрушившегося на австралийский штат Квинсленд. Масштабные наводнения и оползни привели к закрытию портов и прекращению горнодобывающей деятельности. 

Ограничение экспортных поставок из Австралии послужило драйвером роста цены на коксующийся уголь. В понедельник он резко подорожал до $175,7 за тонну. Согласно прогнозам специалистов, также может подскочить в цене и топливо. Ожидается увеличение его стоимости на $100 за тонну. 

Около 60% общих поставок угля приходится именно на потерпевший разрушения штат. Крупнейший австралийский железнодорожный грузоперевозчик Aurizon Holdings Ltd. прогнозирует довольно долгий период восстановления ключевых маршрутов между угольными месторождениями и терминалами экспорта. Все строительно-монтажные работы по восстановлению дорог могут занять несколько недель. В результате этого природного катаклизма глобальный рынок коксующегося угля потеряет около 5% всех экспортных поставок.
