Спецслужбы США и Великобритании перехватывали данные с сотовых авиапассажиров

Французское печатное издание «Le Monde» опубликовала сообщение о том, что разведывательные службы Великобритании и США занимались сбором данных с мобильных телефонов пассажиров во время полетов. Эту новость подтверждают документы, полученные от Эдварда Сноудена, бывшего сотрудника АНБ США. 

Начиная с 2012 года многие авиакомпании (British Airways, Aeroflot, Etihad, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines и др.) начали предоставлять пассажирам возможность использовать интернет во время перелета. Спецслужбы, занимающиеся радиоэлектронной разведкой, разработали специальные приложения, позволяющие скачивать данные владельца телефона практически «в режиме реального времени» при полете на высоте более 3,000 метров. Для получения данных было достаточно иметь включенный на борту смартфон. Далее происходило определение местоположения абонента и вычисление его данных по списку пассажиров и номеру рейса. 

Представители авиакомпаний утверждают, что оставались совершенно не в курсе проводимой практики и не имеют никакого отношения к действиям спецслужб.
