Dodavatelé Walmartu (NYSE:WMT) odložili nebo pozastavili některé objednávky od výrobců oděvů v Bangladéši, protože hrozba amerického prezidenta Donalda Trumpa uvalit 35% clo na textilní centrum narušuje obchod, podle agentury Reuters.

Bangladéš je třetím největším vývozcem oděvů do Spojených států a 80 % svých vývozních příjmů a 10 % HDP získává právě z oděvního průmyslu.

Majitelé továren v Bangladéši očekávají pokles objednávek, pokud cla ve výši 35 % vstoupí v platnost 1. srpna, protože nejsou schopni tuto sazbu absorbovat.

Iqbal Hossain, generální ředitel oděvní společnosti Patriot Eco Apparel Ltd, uvedl, že kvůli hrozbě cla byla ve čtvrtek pozastavena objednávka na téměř 1 milion plavek pro Walmart.
